Clinic Location:
Hacienda Dos Olivos is situated 30 kms southwest of Seville Spain, an area famed for its wonderful climate, cultural diversity and rich history.
Dos Olivos is a small family run organic olive farm with country house accommodation offering rural countryside holidays, classical equitation and a variety of other horse related activities. The farm nestles in gently undulating hills of olive, orange and almond trees on the ancient route to the pilgrim’s town of El Rocio. Bordering the Doñana National Park (A Unesco World Heritage site), this region is world-renowned not only for producing the delicate Fine Manzanilla table olive but is also home of the Andalusian horse.

The Week
Hacking out: The Andalusian landscape can be explored on horseback. Each hack out lasts around two hours and will show you the very special and interesting botanic through eucalyptus trees, olive groves and forest. But you can also ride through the national park of DOÑANA, which has been declared as a special  biosphere area.

Sightseeing: The sophisticated city of Seville only 30 minutes away offers stylish entertainment and shopping in an area renowned for its rural culture and flamenco dancing. The city has inspired artists, musicians and writers for centuries. The ancient architecture merges with the cosmopolitan present day and the cathedrals, churches, parks and monuments provide a fascinating insight into her history.

A visit to Jerez and experience a captivating equestrian experience at the Royal School of Equestrian Art for those who are interested in Andalusian horses and classical dressage. The architecture, the Spanish music and the incredibly beautiful Andalusian horses will remain in your memory forever.  It encompasses all the passion, flair and colour of the Spanish horses and their skilled riders.

Seminars: 3 half-day seminars with topics about the health of the horse. BARBARA QUIEHL-MASMEIER will talk about the energetic meridians, the basis of the traditional Chinese
medicine. We will learn how to support your horse energetically with the “correct“ brushing, with acupressure, and how to deal with disturbing scars. Another topic will be the massage. So we will have a look at the muscle, its structure and function, we will learn some easy massage techniques and how to stretch correctly. The third topic will be the biomechanics. Focus of this afternoon is to understand how the skeleton of the horse works and what this means to the riders seat. (seminars in German)

Dressage Lessons:  Ride Spanish horses with very light aids in the traditional classical way helped by Centered Riding techniques. The horses are gentle, flamboyant with great docility which makes it a pleasure for you to learn from. They help you refine the use of your seat and to feel in a clearer way their response to your aids.
