How to Find Hacienda Dos Olivos

The Region

Hacienda Dos Olivos is located in Andalusia, in the South of Spain, an area famed for its wonderful climate, cultural diversity and rich history.

Conveniently situated only 30kms southwest of Seville, Hacienda Dos Olivos nestles in gently undulating hills of olive, orange and almond trees on the ancient route to the pilgrim’s town of El Rocío. Bordering the Doñana National Park, this region is world renowned for producing the delicate Fine Manzanilla table olive and is home to the Andalusian horse.

The surrounding area is studded with numerous small towns and villages, each with its own distinct flavour and origins. Our two nearest towns, Pilas the main producer for table olives and Aznalcázar renowned for its vast umbrella pine forests.

This historically important region called El Ajarafe, (originating from the Arabic word “Al-Xaraf” meaning high plateaux), has been inhabited since the Phoenicians for its fertile lands, abundant water and spectacular views. It was from here that the Romans exported olive oil and wine to cities throughout their Empire.  Still today the remains of a Roman bridge can be seen in Aznalcázar.

Air Travel

Seville airport is the most convenient as it is the nearest to us.  Jerez, Malaga, Gibraltar and Faro in Portugal are other possibilities, but require longer transfers to reach us.

Seville (SVQ) 45 kms - Jerez (XRY) 116 kms - Faro (FAO), Portugal 186 kms

Gibraltar (GIB) 225 kms - Malaga (AGP) 250 kms

Train Travel in Spain and Seville                                 

Trains are operated by Renfe Spain and arrive from all over Europe to the ‘Santa Justa’ train station in Seville. Onward travel can be by bus, taxi, metro, or by car transfer by prior arrangement.

Car Transport Services                                                 

There are many car transport services available:                                                                                      

• Car Hire – To guarantee guests fully enjoy their stay we strongly advise hiring a car in order to allow maximum freedom to enjoy the local area. Car Hire is available at most airports and in Seville centre.
• Local Taxi – available from the airport or Seville city centre.
• We are able to organise car transport services to/from Seville airport, bus or train station. Please provide full details of date, time and place of collection + a mobile phone number for contact.

Bus Travel Spain                                                          

The bus/coach services in Spain are very good, timely and comfortable.  The Damas bus company operates services to Aznalcázar or Pilas from the Plaza de Armas bus station in Seville. We can collect you from either town by prior arrangement.

Metro Seville                                                                 

There is a metro service from Seville Santa Justa train station to Benacazón where we can collect you by prior arrangement.
